Time to move on!

Well nestling customers, thank you for keeping me on the hop lately with lots of sale orders.  It has been an interesting challenge as I’ve literally operated out of the boot of my car while being away from home due to my mother’s hospitalization.  I must have looked quite strange at times in the hospital car park with my head buried in the boot of the car for extremely long periods.  But it all worked and thankfully my mother is on the mend as well and I’m heading back to home base this week.

Yesterday while out and about I received the most wonderful phone call from my son serving in Afghanistan.  He saves most his calls and skype time for his wife and daughter which is as it should be, so it was so special to hear his voice – you see for me, despite him being in his thirties he is still that little blond haired boy, he is still my nestling and that will never change.  I am also so lucky to be able to skype with my grandnestling and that is so special.  She has her first pair of shoes and is so proud of them – pink with bows!!!

For nestling it is time to ‘move on’ from summer and into our new season.  I have so many boxes waiting for me to process when I get home later this week and I am really looking forward to it.  So, the clearance sale is in its final days and will come to an close at the end of the month, Saturday the 31st.  So snap up some bargains from the last week of the sale.   Beautiful Sapling has now been added to the $10.00 rack, which breaks my heart, but its time to move on!!

Enjoy your week and love those nestlings as they grow up far to quickly.

A week is sometimes a long time

Today finds me a long way from the nestling home of Hay.  I am sitting in writing this with a view over the ocean.  No, I’m not on some exotic holiday but rather I am sitting by my mother’s hospital bed.  What started as a normal week ended up with a long drive to Sydney to be by my mother’s bedside.  Old age can be so sad and cruel, but the cycle of life goes on and as I sit here I am also viewing the picture scan of my new grand nestling.  The hands and feet are so clear and everything looks just perfect.   So around and around we go.  One life is in its closing chapter and the other just beginning.

Luckily for me when I knew I had to be on the move I could easily take my work with me.  My nestling goodies are loaded in the car and off I go.

I have just been contacted by one of our favorite suppliers to arrange a time to view the Summer 2015 range – can you believe it!  I’ve had a peek online and Hunter Baby just gets better and better.

The first drop of winter 2015 has arrived and is ready to roll very soon.  Likewise I have my first little treasures for Mum all lined up and next week I will have some wonderful Kavishka for you.  Great little toys for our nestlings.

In the meatime I still have some great specials to clear to make room for the winter onslaught that is about to happen.  Coq en Pate tshirts have now been added to the $10 rack.  These great 100% certified cotton tshirt are from the save our species range – animal print on the font and on the back.  They are absolutely perfect for our little jungle adventurers.

More items will be added to the $10 rack during the week so keep your eyes posted.

So till next week, love those little nestlings.

Hello from a cooler nest

Where I am there has been some much needed and loved rain over the last few days.  My little nest is really quite cosy today as the rain has brought the temperature down from the dreaded 40's for a few days and everything in the garden is looking spectacular.  I hope you also have enjoyed some rain, but not too much of course.

Well, what a sad week it  has been on the world stage.  More terror, more tragedy for people who were doing what you and I are doing today - going about their normal, everyday business.  My thoughts are with the families and friends of the French terror victims as well as the young girls forced into being suicide bombers in Nigeria.  All this tragedy just makes me treasure my children and granddaughter even more.

The clearance sale continues as I really need to make room in my small little nest for all the winter stock arriving soon.  I have added more items to the $5.00 rack and the $10.00 rack.  Some of last winters pieces are also still available at ridiculous prices - but I just need to make room.

As we all know, the drop in temperature is just a tease - the hot days will be back before we know it.  Charlie Bell is a perfect solution for lady nestlings on such hot days - a romper or singlet with the added flair of Charlie Bell is just perfect.  I will be adding more Charlie Bell to the website later this week as new stock is on its way.

Talking Red rompers online, which are also handmade are perfect for the heat yet to come.  Unfortunately what is online is it for the moment, the girls at Talking Red are just too swamped.

So dear nestling readers, enjoy your week ahead and love those nestlings to bits.
Till next time
Rebecca

PS. great news for me - I have a second grand nestling on the way!!!

Introducing the amazing Talking Red.

I am really pleased to introduce Talking Red to nestling.  Talking Red is the baby of two mums, Georgia and Julia who have a flair for creation.  I absolutely love the retro look as I am sure my Mum dressed me in similar rompers 55 years ago.

Georgia and Julia both have a boy and girl nestling each and they say that the arrival of the boys was the inspiration for Talking Red as there was a lack of boys clothing (which I tend to agree with).

Talking Red does not offer a vast range but rather they concentrate on a smaller range of really unique items specifically for newborns through to toddlers.

When I placed my order the girls from Talking Red replied with “we’ll get sewing now”, so you can be guaranteed that these are anything but mass produced.

I hope you love them as much as I do.  You’d better get in quick as I’ve already bought a few for my own grandnestling.
